Rotorscoping

We have decided to try out some rotorscoping and see what it looks like.

At the moment I am envisaging something similar to that ipod ad where the people are dancing around and they are masked with a single flat colour against a simple background. I'd love to do something similar, using the Swatch brand colours, which I guess are red, black and white, but perhaps have the people skiing/snowboarding.

So I got some footage of some people doing snowboard tricks (snowboarding is so much cooler than skiing), and have done a few rotorscope tests using a mask and animating a mask, changing that pask PATH and EXPANSION, using keyframes EVERY FRAME. Yes, its painstaking!

We have a new ethos - KEEP IT SIMPLE! :D
